Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
ShingleSuite (shinglesuite.com) is run by Mississippi River Marketing LLC ("MRM", "we"), 90 Spring Lane, East Prairie, MO 63845. It collects information from two groups:
- Homeowners, who use a roofing contractor's estimator. We collect their details on behalf of that contractor, to deliver their request.
- Contractors, who subscribe to ShingleSuite.
Information homeowners give us
When you use a contractor's estimator, we collect what you type and choose:
- your name, phone number and email;
- the property address, and the spot on the map you tap as your roof;
- any note you add, for example when the drawing doesn't match your roof;
- whether you ticked the optional box for the contractor's marketing emails, with the time and the exact words shown;
- how far you got, so a reload continues the same request.
The estimator says beside its Continue button that the contractor may call or text you about your request. Your request is saved as soon as you send the address, before the roof is measured. Nothing is saved from your name and phone number alone.
ShingleSuite stores only a one-way scrambled form (hash) of your IP address, used to block automated or abusive submissions. Our web server's access logs do record IP addresses, to keep the service secure and fix problems.
Information we gather about the property
To measure a roof, ShingleSuite looks up the property itself, not you:
- satellite roof and height data and an overhead image (Google Solar API, Google Maps);
- up to three Street View photos of the house (Google);
- aerial laser scans (U.S. Geological Survey) and public building outlines and records (FEMA, OpenStreetMap);
- a photo review by Claude (Anthropic), which reports what the photos show: stories, roof material, chimneys, skylights, condition.
The photo review receives only the photos and short labels such as the camera direction. It gets no name, phone number, email or address.
The measurements and drawings are stored with the request. The photos and Google's raw roof data are deleted 30 days after the lookup, and within those 30 days the same address's roof can be reused.
Information about contractors
For contractor accounts we keep:
- the sign-in email of each person on the account, and when they last signed in;
- business details: company name, phone, color, service area, lead email addresses, and price settings;
- billing records from Stripe: customer and subscription IDs, plan, status, and paid periods. Card numbers stay with Stripe and never reach us;
- usage: leads counted, roof lookups made, credits, and where the estimator is installed (the website's address).
How we use information
We use it only to run ShingleSuite:
- to measure the roof and show the contractor's preliminary price;
- to deliver each request to the contractor by dashboard and email;
- to email homeowners a copy of their estimate when they finish a priced request, on the contractor's behalf;
- to keep a record of a homeowner's choice about the contractor's marketing emails (the contractor sends those, not ShingleSuite);
- to sign contractors in, bill subscriptions and count plan usage;
- to filter spam and automated submissions;
- to answer support requests;
- to check and improve measurement accuracy, for example by comparing our measurements with what a contractor measured on site.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the contractor you contacted and with the services that run ShingleSuite for us:
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Everything ShingleSuite stores (US East, Ohio) | Database and contractor sign-in |
| Bluehost | Everything sent to or from ShingleSuite | Hosting |
| Google Maps Platform | The address as you type it, and the property's map coordinates | Address suggestions, maps, roof data, Street View |
| Google Fonts | Your browser's IP address, when a page loads its fonts | Typefaces |
| Anthropic | Photos of the house only | Photo review |
| Resend | Lead details sent to the contractor's email addresses, and the homeowner's estimate copy | |
| Stripe | Contractor billing details | Payments |
| USGS, FEMA, OpenStreetMap | The property's map coordinates | Public roof and building data |
| Google (Gmail) | Emails sent to support@shinglesuite.com | MRM's support inbox |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people or the service. If MRM or ShingleSuite is sold or merged, the information would go with it under this policy.
Contractors and your request
The contractor whose estimator you used receives your request: your details, the property, the roof measurements and photos, and any price range shown. That contractor uses it to contact you and quote the work, and handles it under its own privacy practices. Each contractor sees only requests sent to its own estimator.
Questions about how a contractor uses your information go to that contractor. We can also help: see Your choices.
Cookies and browser storage
ShingleSuite uses no advertising or analytics trackers.
- Homeowners. The estimator keeps one visit ID in your browser tab (session storage), so a reload continues the same request. It's cleared when you finish and when the tab closes.
- Contractors. Signing in sets cookies that keep you signed in. The Measure & quote tool saves your work in progress in your browser (local storage).
When the estimator is embedded on a contractor's website, that website may use its own cookies, under its own policy.
How long we keep it
- Photos and Google's raw roof data: deleted automatically 30 days after the roof lookup.
- Homeowner requests: kept for the contractor while its account is open, and for up to 2 years after its subscription ends, then deleted. A homeowner or the contractor can ask us to delete a request sooner.
- Contractor account details: while the account is open, and for up to 2 years after the subscription ends.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Emails to support: as long as needed to answer them and keep a record.
Security
We protect information with measures like these, though no system is perfectly secure:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) to ShingleSuite;
- database rules that let each contractor see only its own requests, and keep billing records readable only by our server;
- sign-in by emailed link, so we store no passwords;
- your IP address kept in ShingleSuite's records only as a scrambled hash;
- card payments handled entirely by Stripe;
- service keys kept only on our server, and ShingleSuite run separately from our other systems.
Your choices
- Homeowners can ask to see, correct or delete their request by emailing support@shinglesuite.com, or by asking the contractor they contacted. We may confirm the request comes from you, for example by checking the phone number or email on it. We answer within 30 days, and we tell the contractor when we delete a request.
- Calls, texts and marketing emails come from the contractor: reply STOP to its texts, use the unsubscribe link in its marketing emails, or ask the contractor directly.
- Contractors can change business details and lead email addresses in Setup, and export their leads as a CSV file from the dashboard. To close an account or delete its data, email support@shinglesuite.com.
- Emails. Lead emails go only to the addresses a contractor sets. Sign-in emails are sent only when someone asks to sign in.
Some U.S. states give their residents extra privacy rights. Wherever you live, you can use the choices above.
Children, changes and contact
- Children. ShingleSuite is for homeowners and businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
- Changes. We'll post any change here with a new date, and email contractors about significant changes before they apply.
- Contact. support@shinglesuite.com, Mississippi River Marketing LLC, 90 Spring Lane, East Prairie, MO 63845.
For contractors: a paragraph for your own privacy notice
Contractors who put the estimator on their website can add this to their site's privacy notice:
Our website uses ShingleSuite, a roof estimating service run by Mississippi River Marketing LLC. When you ask for an estimate, the name, phone number, email and property address you enter, and the spot you pick on the map, go to ShingleSuite. It measures the roof from aerial laser scans and satellite data and sends your request to us. See the ShingleSuite Privacy Policy at https://shinglesuite.com/privacy.
